Beer’s story goes all the way back to 10,000 B.C., with nearly every culture brewing their own version. Back then, beer was more nutritious than bread and often safer to sip than water. In some places, it was such a key part of the diet that people called it “liquid bread.” Nowadays, beer has earned a fun new nickname—Porkchops!
